Delicious Reasons to Celebrate Valentine’s

Valentine’s Day is coming and what better way to celebrate than discovering new places and having great food. Here’s a list of recommendations we hope you enjoy in company of your significant other.

Meal from Herbstreet

Why go? It is a lovely restaurant with fresh ingredients. As part of their mission they try to minimize their carbon footprint with sustainable food. Even in the back of the menu, there is a list of their suppliers. You can order everything from a salad, to a comfort soup, or a quiche. It is famous for its weekend’s brunch, so if you are planning to go on the weekend make sure to arrive there early.

Where is it? Hanover Quay, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin 2

Expert tip: There is a Herbstreet combo that includes a soup, salad, and half of a sandwich or a quiche. Great quality, and at a good price!

Queen of tarts Why go? If you are craving for a scone, a brownie or a fine cake, this is the place for you. It has more than 18 years of reputation as one of the best bakeries/restaurants in Dublin.

Where is it? There are two restaurants in Dublin:

Cork Hill, Dame Street, Dublin 2, Ireland Cows Lane, Dame Street, Dublin 2, Ireland

Expert tip: They have a daily menu which includes a different type of brownie every day!

Sophie's view, Dublin

Sophie’s Why go? Enjoy a 360° view of Dublin from the terrace of this restaurant. There is something for everyone. They serve breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner, and afternoon drinks.

Where is it? 33 Harcourt St, Dublin 2

Expert tip: Make sure to have a reservation because it can get crowded especially on the weekends.
